Editorial Policy
Our goal is to publish practical, original, and clearly explained guidance about Unicode typography, emoji, accessibility, and social media presentation.
Last updated: August 6, 2026
Topic selection and original value
We select topics that directly help users understand character compatibility, communication choices, platform constraints, or responsible visual styling. Articles should add practical examples, comparisons, testing notes, or editorial interpretation rather than merely restating other sources.
Research and sources
Writers prioritize Unicode documentation, platform help centers, accessibility guidance, standards bodies, and other primary sources where available. Claims that may change over time should be checked against current documentation before publication or revision.
Human review and AI assistance
Digital tools, including AI-assisted drafting or translation, may support research and editing. They do not replace human responsibility. Material intended for publication is reviewed for relevance, coherence, obvious factual errors, duplicated wording, and usefulness to BioFontsApp users.
Testing and accessibility
Compatibility recommendations should identify the devices, platforms, or character ranges involved when practical. We aim to distinguish decorative Unicode from real font files and to explain accessibility limitations, including screen-reader and search behavior.
Corrections and updates
We correct confirmed material errors and update articles when platform behavior or standards change. Minor wording edits may be made without notice; significant revisions should update the displayed modification date.
Commercial independence
Advertising does not determine editorial conclusions. Sponsored relationships, affiliate links, or other material commercial interests will be disclosed clearly when applicable.
